John Kenny and Paul Davis started J P Kenny in the UK in 1979. Now we're the world's largest pipeline and subsea engineering and management contractor with 10 offices globally. We employ 1,300 professionals, mostly engineers, and our services are used by some of the world's foremost corporations. Right now we're engaged in around 150 projects worldwide.
A number of our projects are groundbreaking, not just in size and scope but also in terms of the technical challenges. Working on them allows us to combine the local accountability of our offices, each with its own management team, with unrivalled global capabilities. That way, customers enjoy significant depth of expertise - and our people enjoy significant breadth of experience.
Our offices routinely work together, and we actively encourage our people to move between them. Our group-wide knowledge sharing is very advanced, and we have a group board for technology planning, along with well-established global planning and management processes.
We're part of the Wood Group - an international energy services company. In July 2010 the Wood Group had $5bn sales, 29,000 people and operations in 50 countries.
