Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: To provide an all-round HR Generalist service to Aberdeen Business Unit, including:

    Provide support and guidance to management in relation to any employee relation issues including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, absence, conflict etc
    Management of recruitment and selection for business unit
    Review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
    Management of immigration issues for business unit: Level 1 SMS user & ensure business is compliant with UKBA regulations;
    Compiling HR reports and statistics in relation to headcount, attrition etc
      Maintain, coordinate and deliver induction process for new workers
    Preparation of contracts of employment, offer letters, changes to terms & conditions or any other HR communications
    Act as Scheme Coordinator for Accredited Professional Institution schemes (IMechE and IMarEst), including coordination of accreditation panel visits
    Assist in developing action plans as a follow-up to issues identified in staff surveys
    Coordination of bi-annual appraisal process
    Conduct a Training Needs Analysis from development plans, source required courses, coordinate implementation
    Maintenance of confidential information / employee files in association with any changes in employee details, terms of employment etc
    Analyze and review market data to ensure compensation and benefit practices are competitive, in conjunction with group HR
    Work with Group HR in rolling out global HR programs and initiatives
    Participation in Graduate recruitment programme

Experience Required

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:

    University degree in HR, Business or related discipline
    CIPD qualified preferred
    HR Generalist experience
    Good knowledge of UK employment law
    Comfortable working with all levels in an organisation
    Comfortable working in a team and on own intiative
